CALGARY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) is an 11-day showcase of over 200 multi-genre films from Canada and over 40 other countries around the world. Hosting gala events, screenings, award ceremonies and special presentations, CIFF changes the way visual stories are shared and experienced.

The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) recently announced that The Grand Seduction, directed by Don McKellar, will open the 2013 festival. CIFF is proud to once again partner with Telefilm Canada, the Canada Media Fund (CMF), Alberta Film, the Government of Alberta and eOne to bring this much-anticipated film to Calgary audiences.

"The Grand Seduction is a laugh-out-loud comedy, and we're overjoyed to present the Western Canadian premiere of this major release,” said Steve Schroeder, Executive Director of the Calgary International Film Festival. “The film is a who's who of talent from across Canada, from director Don McKellar and the incredible cast, to co-writer Michael Dowse, who is well known in Calgary and abroad for FUBAR and others. Last year's Opening Gala was the largest and most talked about in the festival's history, and we look forward to an even bigger night this year."
